This race is for fun
Treat it as such. Nobody is chasing a national record on a seafront bike path on the last morning of the year.
The race
Morning of 31 December
The last morning of the year: bib in hand by ten to ten, running at ten, eating cake by twenty to eleven.

Race package pick-up
At the RunLab store, which is also where the toilets are and where you leave a bag. The window closes at 09:50 so everyone can walk to the start together — come earlier rather than later.

Start
From the beginning of the bike path at the Dasoudi Park end. No waves, no corrals — line up wherever feels right and let the faster runners stand in front.

Back at the RunLab store. Cake, coffee, and prizes for whoever the day decides deserves them.

Respect everyone else
Other participants and pedestrians share the path with you. The promenade is not closed for us.
Never take the risk
If a collision looks possible, slow down and go around. The cake will be shared with everyone regardless of your result at the finish line.
Questions
Before you ask an organiser
Is there an entry fee?
No. Entry is free and there is no limit on the number of runners, so there is nothing to pay and nothing to secure early.
Do I need to be fast?
No. It is a fun run over five kilometres. Walking part of it is entirely normal and nobody will be waiting on you at the finish.
What is the surface like?
Paved seafront bike path and promenade the whole way, flat from start to finish. Road shoes are all you need.
Can friends and family come?
Yes, and the promenade stays open to the public anyway. That is exactly why the rules ask you to give way to pedestrians.
Where do I collect my number?
At the RunLab store between 09:30 and 09:50 on race morning. There is no pick-up on any other day.
How will you contact me?
An organiser messages you on Telegram, using the tag you give at registration. There is no race group — that tag is the only way we have of reaching you, which is why it is a required field.
Toilets, and somewhere to leave a bag?
Both at RunLab, where you collect your bib — there is nothing of the kind at the start line itself. Pick your bag up afterwards, when everyone comes back for the cake.
